Channel funds meant for projects appropriately, Ikpeazu tells contractors

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has flagged off the 15 km Ogboro-Amibo –Acha Road in Isuikwuato LGA, urging the contractor handling the project to deliver the job on schedule.
Speaking during the ceremony, the governor advised the contractor to channel all funds meant for the project into the job and not give any gratification to anybody.
He expressed his determination to make things easier for the people of the state, assuring the people of Isuikwuato that the Abia state Road Maintenance Agency will reconstruct the Akara –Abia state university Uturu (ABSU) Road which is in a bad state.
The governor called on the people of the state to intensify prayers for his administration, saying he was aware of the activities of enemies of democracy who build roads on the pages of newspapers and the social media.
Welcoming the governor, the state chairman of the PDP, sen Emma Nwaka thanked him for coming to flag off the road in his community, stressing that the construction of the road is remarkable as the road has never been tarred before.
He described the Ogboro- Amibo –Acha ring road as very important to the community and enumerated the gains derivable from the construction of the road.
In his speech, the site engineer informed the Governor that the survey works and designs have been completed, stressing that the equipment needed needed for the job is ready that so far 4 kilometers of the job have been done.
