Chelsea FC intensifies efforts to sign Osimhen amid competition from Al-Ahli Saudi
Chelsea FC’s management is in Napoli, pushing to secure a deal for 25-year-old striker Victor Osimhen, a key target for the club this summer.
Despite Osimhen’s willingness to move to London, the Nigerian forward’s wage demands remain a significant hurdle, with reports suggesting he is closer to joining Al-Ahli Saudi FC.
Chelsea, however, is not giving up on the player who played a crucial role in Napoli’s first Scudetto win since 1990. Paris Saint-Germain, previously interested, has withdrawn from the race, even after an injury to their forward Gonçalo Ramos.

The player is willing to move from Napoli to London but he’s reportedly not willing to cut his wage demands, and as things stood the striker was thought to be closer to joining Al Ahli. However, Chelsea are not yet willing to give up on a player who helped Napoli win their first Scudetto since the 1989/90 season.
Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly no longer part of the race for the striker. Osimhen was a more concrete target earlier in the window, with the Nigerian forward reportedly keen to make the move to the Parc des Princes.
It was thought that Gonçalo Ramos’ injury, which is set to rule him out for several months, would see the interest in Osimhen reignited, but not so.
Despite that injury, PSG did not reignite their interest and there was no further contact with the Napoli forward.
