Coronavirus patient delivers twins in LUTH
A COVID-19 patient, 22 years of age on Tuesday gave birth to twins at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
The CMAC of LUTH in a tweet indicated that coronavirus carrier was delivered of a boy and a girl by a team of LUTH doctors, anesthetics and nurses. This was said to fourth COVID-19 births in the hospital.
The tweet read, “A team of LUTH doctors, anesthetics and nurses today Tuesday, May 19, 2020, delivered the fourth expectant mother (22-year-old) with COVID-19 of twins; a girl and a boy.
“Birthweight 3.2kg and 3.25kg respectively through a cesarean section.
“The mother and babies are doing well!”.
