Crack in PDP, Seven national officers invoke vote-of-no-confidence on Secondus, resign
Deep Crack erupted in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), seven national officers invoked vote-of-no-confidence on the PDP National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus and the National Working Committee (NWC). The seven members of the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) subsequently resigned their party portfolios on Tuesday citing maladministration of the party by the national chairman, Secondus. The officers, in their resignation letters, decried lack of confidence in the administration of the party by the National Working Committee (NWC) led by Uche Secondus.
They lamented that the bad leadership of the party by the national chairman has made the PDP governors not committed to the running of the party under the leadership of Uche Secondus.
The national officers who resigned on Tuesday include the Deputy National Financial Secretary, Deputy National Auditor, Deputy National Women Leader, Hadizat Umoru; Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Diran Odeyemi; Deputy National Legal Adviser, Deputy National Organising Secretary, Hassan Yakubu; and one other officer.
