Crowd as Kwankwaso tests water in Shettima’s Maiduguri
NNPP’s presidential candidate Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso was in Maiduguri, Borno State capital, on Saturday, and a crowd enough to draw the ruling APC attention gathered to welcome him.
Many had least expected the Kano senator area of influence to extend to the northeast, especially Borno.
And the APC Muslim-Muslim strategy that warranted the selection of Borno’s former Gov Kashim Shettima was supposed to have secured the northeastern state for APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu.
But Kwankwaso pulled a crowd o his first visit to Borno, despite a badly-timed clamp-dow on the NNPP’s party men and their secretariat by a Borno government agency.
The Kano former governor then encouraged the crowd to vote for the NNPP.
