Delta policeman arrested for killing a businessman breaks silence
The police officer arrested for allegedly killing a businessman, Onyeka Emmanuel Ibe, in Asaba, Delta State, has said it was not an intentional act.
Recall that the deceased was in company of his pregnant wife when he was shot in the head on Wednesday morning, April 5.
Narrating what transpired when he was paraded before newsmen, the killer cop said, “I heard a voice from about 10 to 15km, saying, ‘hold him, hold him’. Before I could turn, the young man raised his left hand to my rifle and said ‘I will kill you’.
Before I could drag it from him, my belt entered the trigger then it fired. It was not intentional or deliberate to kill him.”
