Delta promotes capacity building for entrepreneurial, leadership skills
The Delta State government has sustained the promotion of capacity building towards enhancing entrepreneurial and leadership skills for the development of the state.
The Commissioner for Youth Development, Ifeanyi Egwunyenga, an interactive session with facilitators of Community Business School (CBS) drawn from different professional fields, disclosed that the Community Business School (CBS) is a vital business life skill, geared towards developing entrepreneurial drive, leadership capacity, business ethics and financial management.
The commissioner emphasized that the CBS, an extended project of the Rural Youth Skill Acquisition Program (RYSA), was initiated to further empower the trainees of RYSA.
Egwunyenga noted that CBS is a significant part of the RYSA, which makes RYSA program outstanding from other empowerment programs in the state. He appealed to the facilitators to be selfless in the process of transferring knowledge to the beneficiaries, as well as creating cordial student-teacher relations with the trainees.
The commissioner emphasized the need for synergy between the experienced facilitators and the new facilitators in sharing experiences.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth Development, Ms Ngozi Mogbolu, encouraged the instructors to work together to achieve the best, as well as work in tandem with the principles of the ministry.
Appointment letters were later issued to the facilitators.
