Dubai tourism lures Nigerians to shocking festivities ahead of 2016
Dubai Tourism has launched a competition that will reward Nigerians with exciting paid travel experiences to the city of Dubai, to enjoy its Shopping Festival he in January.
This is part of a diverse program of activities to mark the 2016 Dubai Shopping Festival.
Tagged the “Dubai Shopping Festival Giveaway” promotion, Dubai plans to reward Nigerians who are keen travelers with thrilling shopping experiences in Dubai.
Over the past decade, Dubai has developed into a leading shopping destination offering visitors a wealth of unique experiences and opportunities.
Commenting on the promotion, Ms. Stella Obinwa, regional director – Africa at Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism), said the promotion is an appreciation of Nigerians and their love of shopping in the emirate.
“Over the years, Nigerians have demonstrated the desire to get the best in terms of products and hospitality. With this promotion, we are showcasing what Dubai offers in this regard,” said Obinwa.
To qualify for the promotion, scheduled to run from 19 November until 1 December 2015, participants can visit leading travel agency websites Tour Brokers International and World N Traveland where there are multiple chances to win a trip to Dubai Shopping Festival 2016. They can also listen out for the daily competition on Nigeria’s top radio stations from 20-29 November. Raffle opportunities will also be announced for Lagos and Port Harcourt.
All 200 winners will travel 18-22 January, to the city that makes every shopping dream come true.
Obinwa continued: “The prize consists of a three-night experience in Dubai from 18-22 January, when the winners will enjoy extensive shopping experiences across the city and its world-famous malls. The package includes flights, tickets to some of Dubai Shopping Festival’s many events, hotel accommodation and visa application – all paid for by Dubai Tourism. Dubai is a city that makes remarkable things happen, and our winners will have the opportunity to shop till they drop.”
First launched in 1996, Dubai Shopping Festival has grown to become one of the largest shopping, fashion and entertainment extravaganzas in the world, with exciting activities such as musical concerts, sports shows and fashion displays.
