Eagles call up 25 new players to avoid MRI age test failure
Nigeria U17s have called up 25 new players to ensure there is no last-minute age test failure leading up to next month’s U17 AFCON in Tanzania.
Two players were disqualified on age grounds at the zonal AFCON qualifiers in Niger Republic last year.
Coach Manu Garba said the new invitees are doing well in training camp and there are no automatic places for the final squad to Tanzania 2019.
The Eaglets are drawn against hosts Tanzania, Angola and Uganda in the first round of the U17 AFCON, which will produce Africa’s four representatives for the U17 World Cup later this year
