Effiong deserves Super Eagles call-up – Biffo
Coach Abdullahi Biffo has told National Daily that the quality and versatility of Ndifreke Effiong have been rewarded with his first call-up to the Super Eagles.
Utility player Effiong was a late replacement for injured Torino FC star Ola Aina for Eagles matches against Seychelles and Egypt.
Rohr has done well to invite Ndifreke Effiong to the Super Eagles,” Biffo told
“His call-up was long overdue based on his performances in the NPFL for the past three years at Abia Warriors.
“He is one of the best players I have ever worked with and he is one player who is at home wherever you play him, rightback, leftback, central midfield, central attack – he’s good to go.
“Every good team need such a player who can fix a problem quickly.
“I believe he will make his mark in the Eagles should he be given a decent chance to play.”
Biffo revealed he tried to sign the player for Katsina United when he quit Abia Warriors for ‘The Changi Boys’.
