“The reinstatement demonstrates Governor Okpebholo’s unwavering commitment to equity, justice, and the rule of law in Edo State governance.
Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has approved the immediate reinstatement of staff members from Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, who were disengaged in March 2023.
The approval, announced today, follows a statement released by the Secretary to the State Government, Musa Ikhilor.
The staff, primarily members of the university’s branch of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), were dismissed after protests demanding the payment of outstanding salaries and other entitlements.
The move to reinstate the employees is seen as a significant gesture by Governor Okpebholo to address past grievances and uphold principles of justice.
