Enugu Rangers dump Remo Stars, Akwa United go top of Group B
Enugu Rangers trounced Remo Stars 5-2 to continue their climb up the NPFL standings, while Akwa United are now the new leaders in Group B after a 1-0 home win over Heartland.
Remo Stars opened scoring in Enugu only for the home team to fight back with Godwin Aguda grabbing a brace.
Akwa United have toppled FC Ifeanyi Ubah at the top of Group B following the lone goal win over Heartland in Uyo.
‘The Promise Keepers’ now have 22 points from 12 matches, same as El Kanemi Warriors.
There were also home wins for Kwara United, Plateau United and Go Round FC with Wikki Tourists recording a win on the road at Rivers United.
