Ex convict Ibori offers thanks to God in Oghara
The thanksgiving service in honour of former Delta State Governor, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, held on Sunday at the First Baptist Church, Oghara, Delta State.
Ibori recently returned to Nigeria after serving a jail term in London for money laundering.
The service which started at about 10am was attended by several prominent individuals, especially from Delta state.
In attandance are ex-governor of Delta State, Emmanuel Uduaghan, former Police Affairs Minister and his wife, Alaowie and Mrs Broderick Bozimo, Senator Emmanuel Aguariavwodo, Mr Ovuozourie Macaulay, Chief Solomon Fukekeme, Senator Patrick Osakwe and Mr Festus Ovie Agas, among others.
Many traditional rulers across the state are also present, including the Ovie of Oghara, Ovie of Ughelli, Ovie of Evwren.
Ibori recently denied he was deported by the British government to Nigeria.
His media assistant, Tony Eluemunor, in a statement urged Nigerians to ignore lies being peddled about against his person
