Ex-kidnapper arrested with four AK-47 rifles
Police operatives in Adamawa State have arrested a 33-year-old man, Musa Adamu, for allegedly being in possession of illegal firearms.
The suspect, who was arrested with four AK-47 rifles, however claimed that a repented armed robb£ry colleague gave them to him.
Adamu, a resident of Mayo Belwa LGA of the state said he had been involved in kidn@pping in the past but had repented from it. He insisted that the four g¥ns he was caught with were handed to him to keep.
According to him, when one of his former gang members heard that he had repented from kidn@pping, he called and told him that he wanted to meet and surrender his g¥ns.
He added that the man in question and one other came and surrendered four AK-47 rifles without amm¥nition to him. He said he was arrested by the police in Gombi LGA, the very day he was given the w£apons.
