Female gun runners nabbed in Nasarawa state
Two female suspects, Mrs. Rashida Umar and Mrs. Rukaiya Ladan have been arrested in Nasarawa State over allegations of supplying arms to bandits and terrorists operating in the Northeast.
The suspects were arrested following credible intel on the movement of the two suspects trafficking arms moving from Fadan Karshe in Sanga LGA of the State towards Akwanga.
Recovered from the suspects were 1,000 x rds of 7.62mm x 39mm special ammo. Suspects were arrested at 177 Gds Bn CP in Akwanga while on their way to deliver the ammo to yet- to – be identified arms dealer in Kontagora Niger State.
Suspects and recovered ammo were handed over to the DSS for further investigation and necessary action.
