Fire razes top ICT firm, Allied Computers
A building known as ‘Amazing Grace’, close to one of the most popular centres for Computer-Based Tests In Lagos JKK, was gutted by fire.
The affected building, located along Ikorodu road, Lagos, houses a Tech company known as Allied Computers.
National Daily gathered that the inferno started from the warehouse where the computers and its parts were stored.
As at the time of filing this report, despite having seven fire tanks on the ground, all efforts to put the fire, which started at about 1pm, out proved abortive.
Aside from Allied Computers, other companies in the building were also affected.
Among them are Ayo-Kasumu & co, Frist Call Institute and Adexen.
National Daily also gathered that the cause of the fire outbreak had not been ascertained but investigation was ongoing.
When our correspondent asked the CEO of the company, Biodun Balogun, why it was difficult putting out the flames, he said that there were chemicals in the warehouse.
Balogun said that they had not been able to find the source of the inferno because they were unable to unlock the building when the fire started.
Meanwhile, all efforts to speak with the team leader of the
firefighters and the PRO of the Lasema Response Unit (LRU) were not successful.
