Former CBN Deputy Governor Aisha Ndanusa Ahmad turbaned as Suniya Asusu Nupe
The former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Aisha Ndanusa Ahmad, has been turbaned as the Suniya Asusu Nupe, in a ceremony held at the Etsu Nupe’s palace in Bida, Niger State.
The event, which attracted traditional rulers, government officials, and financial sector stakeholders, was described as a recognition of Aisha’s exceptional service to the nation and contributions to the socio-economic growth of Nupe land.
Conferring the title, the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, said:
“The Asusu Nupe title is a mark of honour for those who have served selflessly. Aisha’s achievements in national financial policy and her support for local initiatives are worthy of this recognition.”
