Former Pres. Trump announces he is running for President in 2024
Formerly President of the United States, Donald Trump, on Tuesday night, November 15, announced that he’s running for president for the third time. Trump announced his 2024 bid from his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, moments after filing a statement of candidacy with the Federal Election Commission.
“In order to make America great and glorious again, I am tonight announcing my candidacy for president of the United States,” he said. Adding that, “America’s comeback starts right now. Your country is being destroyed before your eyes. Two years ago, we were a great nation, and soon, we will be a great nation again.
This is not just a campaign. This is a quest to save our country.” This will be Trump’s third run for the White House, following his 2020 loss to Biden and his 2016 victory over Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, after emerging the winner of a long, arduous Republican primary campaign that year.
