Former President Obasanjo tests negative to coronavirus
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo was on Sunday declared to have tested negative to coronavirus. National Daily gathered that the Dr. Olukunle Oluwasemowo conducted the test on the former president last Friday at his Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) Pent House residence, Okemosan, Abeokuta, Ogun State, and the result was released on Saturday.
The Special Assistant on Media to Dr. Obasanjo, Kehinde Akinyemi, on Sunday narrated that the samples of the test conducted by Dr. Olukunle Oluwasemowo of the Molecular Genetics Laboratory 54gene, Lagos, Nigeria, on Friday was returned on Saturday indicating negative result.
The Molecular Genetics Laboratory 54gene, Lagos, Nigeria, was identified as one of the accredited laboratories approved by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) to conduct the crucial coronavirus test on both asymptomatic and symptomatic.
Meanwhile, the test result gives Dr. Obasanjo a clean bill on coronavirus infection.
