Four suspected kidnappers arrested as police rescue two victims
Police operatives in Bauchi State have arrested 4 suspected kidnappers in Dutsen Maigoshi community of Tafawa Balewa LGA of the State.
The Police also rescued two kidnap victims, namely Mohammed Jungudu and Maimuna Muhammadu, from the kidnappers’ den.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, in a statement on Thursday, April 6, said the suspects were arrested on Tuesday, April 4 at about 9:15 AM following a tip-off.
He said information at the Command disposal indicated that a group of persons numbering about seven suspected to be kidnappers were sighted between Dass and Tafawa Balewa at Dutsen Maigoshi.
“On receiving the information, a team of a Joint Task Force led by DPO swiftly swung into action at the scene, on sighting the Police they engaged in gun duel. During interrogation, the rescued victims recognized and identified four of the kidnappers.
