Funke Akindele’s presence electrifies Celestial Church Christmas Eve vigil
The presence of the deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Funke Akindele, stimulation wide excitement among worshipers and her fans at the Celestial Church Christmas Eve vigil in Imeko, Ogun State on Saturday night.
The actress, known as Jennifer, was at the Imeko prayer camp on Saturday to render supplications to God for a successful campaign and election. She had tough time walking through the crowd to the stage, where she thrilled the congregation with special praise songs in appreciation for God’s grace and mercy.
Akindele, flattered by the shout of Jennifer that rented the air, told the people that she was not new to the camp.
The congregation went into wide excitement as Funke began to sing, expressing gratitude to God in the worship.
Some of the worshipers rushed to hug her and take pictures after the session.
According to Funke Akindele, “God has been my refuge for years and only Him is my confidence because He cannot fail.”
The Christmas eve vigil of the Celestial Church of God was held at the home of late Baba Oshiffa in Imoke, on Saturday, ended in the early hours of Sunday.
