Ganduje writes Senate, requests requisition of Ali Ndume from APC
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday wrote the Senate of the Nigerian National Assembly, requesting the resignation of the Senate Chief Whip, Ali Ndume, from the party, and joining any other political party of his choice.
Accordingly, “the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, read letter from the APC national leadership; requesting that ‘Ndume should step down from his APC membership and consider joining a different opposition party of his preference’.
The letter was authoritatively signed by the national chairman., Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the party National Secretary, Barrister Ajibola Bashiru.
Ali Ndume had subsequently been removed as Senate Whip and replaced with Sen. Mohammed Tahir Monguno by the Senate.
