The Katsina State House of Assembly has disclosed the rejection of five nominees submitted to the lawmakers by Governor Aminu Masari for screening and confirmation as members of the katsina State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC).
Majority leader of the House, Alhaji Abubakar Suleiman-Abukur, in a media interaction in Katsina on Wednesday, clarified that the decision made during deliberations at plenary on Tuesday.
According to the majority leader, “The decision is sequel to the unanimous dissatisfaction of the lawmakers with the performance of the nominees in their first tenure.
