Gunmen kill 6 herders in Osun; manhunt begins
Some unidentified gunmen invaded a village near Wasinmi, along Ife/Ibadan Way, Osun, killing no fewer than six people, all members of a family on Sunday.
Men of Oodua Peoples Congress, Hunters Group of Nigeria, and police have been deployed in the area.
According to the state’s police command spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, the state Commissioner of Police, Wale Olokode, has visited the scene of the incident.
A section of the media, including the Daily Post, reported that the dead victims were Fulani herders.
