Home remedies to clean your kidneys
Your kidneys are one of the most important organs in your body. Kidneys get rid of the toxins and waste present in the blood. The kidneys filter your blood and keep it clean. For this reason, you should take a kidney infection very seriously. Many circumstances put you at risk of developing a kidney infection. Keep in mind that you’ll need to see your doctor if you suspect that you’ve got a kidney infection.
Kidney cleanses involve consuming specific foods and herbs that may help remove toxins from the body and promote better kidney health.
Kidney cleansing programs vary, but they typically involve consuming a restricted diet for several days. This diet may include smoothies, juices, teas, herbs, and foods that people believe help detoxify the body and improve overall health
A kidney infection is a serious medical condition that requires prompt treatment. These infections often start as a urinary tract infection (UTI) or a bladder infection which then spreads to affect one or both kidneys.
Symptoms may include:
fever
chills
back or side pain
groin pain
abdominal pain
nausea and vomiting
frequent urination
urine that’s cloudy, smells bad, or contains blood
Below are ways to clean your kidneys:
1. Hydration is key
The adult human body is composed of almost 60 percent water. Every single organ, from the brain to the liver, requires water to function.
As the filtration system of the body, the kidneys require water to secrete urine. Urine is the primary waste product that allows the body to get rid of unwanted or unnecessary substances.
When water intake is low, urine volume is low. A low urine output may lead to kidney dysfunction, such as the creation of kidney stones.
2. Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is effective in preventing oxidative stress of the kidneys. It increases the levels of antioxidants in the body, balances blood sugar levels and reduces blood pressure, creating optimum conditions for kidney health. Apple cider vinegar contains citric acid which dissolves kidney stones. Frequent intake of apple cider vinegar also flushes out toxins from the kidneys.
3. Cherries and cranberries
Everyone loves the taste of cherries and cranberries. You can add them to your diet through various ways. Daily consumption of cherries and cranberries up to two weeks will reduce the symptoms of UTI. You can eat them in any form dry or fresh. Make a smoothie, add them to your salad or simply eat them like that only. Cherries and cranberries will also provide you ample amount of antioxidants which will keep several diseases away
4. Turmeric
Turmeric is a power-packed spice and a great healer. The spice cleans our blood and accelerates the healing process. A compound found in turmeric named curcumin can fight inflammation and most of the other problems in the body. Turmeric also helps to generate red blood cells and its medicinal benefits can be traced back from the time of Ayurveda. Mix 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder in a cup of warm milk and drink it. This drink helps the liver in optimal function
