Housewife, daughter docked for pouring hot water on woman
A 48-year-old housewife, Edith Dominic and her 16-year-old daughter, were on Wednesday docked in a Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State for allegedly pouring hot water on woman.
The police charged Dominic and her daughter with assault.
The Prosecution Counsel, ASP Clément Okuoimose, told the court that the defendants assaulted Ms Chinonye Umeh on May 28, at about 12.10a.m in Igbanko in Lagos State.
He said that Dominic and her daughter poured hot water on the neck of Umeh, the complainant which caused her bodily harms.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened the provisions of Section 264 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Chief Magistrate Fadahunsi Adefioye admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N100,000 each with two sureties in like sum.
Adefioye adjourned the case until June 22 for mention.
