Husband arrested for allegedly strangling Abacha’s daughter to death
Police operatives in Borno State have arrested a banker, Adamu Alhaji Ibrahim, 31, in connection with the murder of his wife, Fatima Alhaji Bukar.
The 24-year-old daughter of Bukar Abacha, a Borno House of Assembly member representing Ngala LGA, was strangled to death at her residence last Tuesday.

The command’s spokesperson, Sani Shatambaya, in a statement on Friday said: “On the 18/10/2023 at about 1800hrs one Adamu Alhaji Ibrahim 31yrs went to Gwange Division accompanied by one Bukar Wadiya 39yrs with the body of a woman who the said Adamu Alhaji Ibrahim claimed to be his wife and sought for an emergency help from the police.
The woman was later identified as Fatima Alhaji Bukar. The husband stated that he is a staff of UBA BANK and came back from work at about 1700hrs and found her lying down in pool of blood.
The husband and one Bukar Wadiya were both arrested as prime suspects.”
