NIGERIA Power lifter, Sunday Amos Erepadei is set to attend a coaching course in Virginia, USA.
Sunny told National DailySports that, ‘I have a competition on the 16th of January in Eastern USA open championship, my aim for 2016 is to win gold at the game and also go for coaching course organized by World record holding powerlifter, Matt Wenning will take place from 19th-20th March, 2016’.
Matt holds three (3) World records in Powerlifting, Bachelor Degree in Exercise science and masters in sport Bio-Mechanics.
It was recalled that Amos placed first position in push/pull, bench press and dead lift and second place in strict curl at the 100% raw powerlifting world Championship held in November.
Sunday Amos is a certified powerlifting coach practitioner after completing the requirement under the United State Powerlifting Association.
The Bayelsa state powerlifting coach said it became necessary for him to upgrade since the games has not been popularize in Nigeria.
The seminar will focus on using the squat, bench press, and deadlift to determine weak points and design a program to attack those weaknesses while improving technique in the main lifts.
There will be a lecture portion on day one, followed by squat instruction. Day two will focus on the bench press and deadlift.
