Imo APC boils, State Assembly Speaker impeached
There are emerging indications of skirmishes in the Imo State All Progressives Congress (APC), resulting in the impeachment of the Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Kennedy Ibe on Monday. The House also appointed Emeka Nduka, member, lawmaker representing Ehime Mbano State constituency, as the new Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly. He was, accordingly, sworn in.
National Daily gathered that the former Speaker at an emergency plenary session on Monday, however, said he resigned from office after wide consultation with family and political associates, saying his decision is in the best interest of APC in Imo State. He assured of his continuous loyalty to APC in the state.
