INEC issues Certificates of Return to winners of by-election winners Kano
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has presented Certificates of Return to members-elect of the Kano State House of Assembly in the August 16 by-elections.
The certificates were presented on Friday at the INEC headquarters in Kano by the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Abdu Zango.
The recipients are Garba Ya’u Gwarmai of the APC, elected to represent Ghari/Tsanyawa Constituency and Ali Hassan Shanono of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), elected to represent Shanono/Bagwai Constituency .
In their separate remarks, the members-elect thanked INEC for conducting credible elections.
They also commended the electorate for giving them the mandate to serve, pledging to focus on healthcare, education, security and provision of potable water.(NAN)
