Jonathan visits, congratulates Tinubu at State House, Abuja
Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday visited President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja, to congratulate him on the judgment of the Supreme Court of Nigeria on Thursday, which validated his election in the February 25 presidential poll.

Former President Jonathan visited President Tinubu a day after the judgement of the Supreme Court judgement, upholding the election of Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Former President Jonathan congratulated President Tinubu on his victory at the Supreme Court of Nigeria which in its judgement upheld the judgment of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal.

Jonathan on being received by President Tinubu, stated: “Your Excellency, congratulations!” And President Tinubu, responding said: “Thank you very much.”
Former President Goodluck Jonathan, Special ECOWAS Envoy, in an interaction with President Tinubu, was of the view that political leaders should consider the importance of unity and collaboration in promoting cohesion in Nigeria since the Supreme Court judgement on Thursday has ended all matters relating to the 2023 presidential election.
Jonathan emphasized the need for political leaders to lay to rest partisan tensions over the 2023 general elections since the judgement of the Supreme Court affirmed the victory of President Tinubu in the February 25 presidential election.
