Lawmaker escapes assassination by gunmen in Omdo
A lawmaker in the Ondo State House of Assembly, Olugbenga Omole, escaped assassination by gunmen in Akure, Ondo State. The armed men attacked Olugbenga Omole, chairman, Ondo State House of Assembly Committee on Information, shot the front door window screen to pieces, but the lawmaker escaped the gunfire.

Olugbenga Omole represents Akoko Southwest Constituency 1 in the State Assembly.
