Man City adamant to get De Bruyne fit for Chelsea clash
Chelsea to meet City on the next weekend. Their star midfielder De Bryune is out with a knee problem.
Our opponent expect the player to be fit for the Blues clash. Chelsea have a very tough schedule in the next two weeks
Chelsea are due to face the Premier League leaders Manchester City on the next weekend, December 8.
The Citizens are trying to rush the recovery of their star midfielder Kevin De Bruyne for him to be available against the Blues, National daily reports.
De Bruyne had been ruled out for a month after his latest injury setback against Fulham in the Carabao Cup. The Belgian suffered three knee ligament injuries in the past three seasons.
Man City coped without their leading midfielder with Raheem Sterling taking up the front stage, but with De Bryune in their ranks, the Citizens will be a much scarier beast for the Blues to handle.
Before the visit to the Etihad stadium, Chelsea have to play three more games – against PAOK, Fulham and Wolverhampton. Counting the Tottenham fixture, Man City game will be the 5th one for Chelsea in the space of the two weeks effectively.
Maurizio Sarri has been concerned with the fitness levels of his own squad, so the Blues recently underwent some tests.
