Mbappé wins Onze d’Or award as 2025/26 season's best player

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé has won the Onze d’Or award for the best player of the 2025/26 season after emerging as the top choice in a vote by readers of French football magazine Onze Mondial.

Real Madrid announced the award on Monday, October 19, 2026, saying the France international secured 48.2 per cent of the votes to claim the honour for the first time in his career. <Cite refs={[“turn979763news15″,”turn979763news1”]}/>

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder João Neves finished second with 11.9 per cent, while his teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia came third with 10.8 per cent, according to the Spanish club.

Mbappé’s recognition follows an impressive campaign for Real Madrid. The club said he finished as the leading scorer in both La Liga and the UEFA Champions League during the 2025/26 season. <Cite refs={[“turn979763news15”]}/>

The award is determined by readers of Onze Mondial and is separate from the Ballon d’Or, which is organised by France Football.

Mbappé succeeds fellow Frenchman Ousmane Dembélé, who won the Onze d’Or in 2025. The latest accolade comes ahead of the 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony, scheduled for October 26 in London. <Cite refs={[“turn979763news3″,”turn979763news1”]}/>
