The Portuguese professional football star Cristiano Ronaldo is widely regarded as one of the world’s best footballers of all time and holds the record for the highest goalscorer in the history of modern football.

Over the years of his professional football career, Cristiano Ronaldo has gotten to play for some of the biggest clubs in Europe, the list includes the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus FC.

We often see famous football stars retiring from their professional football careers when in their mid-30s, but not Cristiano Ronaldo.

At age 36 the Portuguese forward made a surprise return to his old club Manchester United and has impressively scored three goals in just three matches, showing no signs of slowing down.

Despite Ronaldo’s impressive age, the forward is not the oldest player in Manchester United’s squad.

The oldest player at Old Trafford is the 38-year-old English professional footballer Lee Anderson Grant who plays as a goalkeeper for Man United and is two years older than Cristiano Ronaldo.

Before coming to Old Trafford, Lee Grant has played for famous English clubs like Sheffield Wednesday, Derby County, Burnley, and Stoke City.

Grant has spent three seasons at Manchester United since the premier league club signed him from Stoke City and has made ten-match appearances for United.

He is one of the few active professional footballers in the English Premier League that are older than Cristiano Ronaldo.
