Mixed reactions trail Funke Akindele, JJC Skillz’s separation
As Abdul Bello aka JJC Skillz announced his separation from top actress, Funke Akindele-Bello, on Thursday, fans and other social media users have been sharing their thoughts.
In a post on his Instagram page, JJC Skillz revealed that they had been separated for months and his attempts to have conversations with the actress were unsuccessful.
He said, “The last two years have been extremely difficult for us. I know I have tried my best to fix things but I believe it is beyond repair now. Three months ago and at Funke’s insistence, I moved out of the house.”
Reacting, OKD Collins tweeted, “Na wa o. But Fathers’ Day was celebrated just recently nau and Funke rained down plenty encomiums on him for being a good husband and father? What is even happening?”
“Omo, Marriages just dey crash anyhow. Shey pesin go marry like this?” Rhonnie on Twitter wondered.
A Facebook user, Happy Gabriel Oluba said, “Yesterday it was Chacha and her husband, today it’s Funke and her husband. Wetin dey occur? God help them please.”
Another user, Omoso Emmanuel said, “Na wao, after all the motivational speech, I pity those people that look up to these celebrities and their lifestyle.”
Enobong Dickson on Instagram said, “Go and settle your home. Don’t come here and disturb person with your marriage. No home is free from misunderstanding but it takes God’s wisdom to live together in peace.”
Oge Nsimah in her comment said, “This generation is filled with couples with matching outfits, beautiful picture and depressed souls apart. Couples, obsessed with telling the world they are happy without experiencing the true happiness..so sad.”
