Music journalist Joey Akan knocks singer Spyro for criticizing Shallipopi’s lyrics
Music journalist Joey Akan has criticized singer Spyro for criticizing Shallipopi’s lyrics.
Akan took to Twitter to express his disapproval of Spyro’s comments, saying that he was being hypocritical and should mind his own business.
“Spyro should focus on his own music and stop trying to police other artists,” Akan wrote. “He’s been in the industry long enough to know that everyone has their own creative vision.”

Akan also pointed out that Spyro has released songs with controversial lyrics in the past.
“Spyro is no saint,” Akan wrote. “He’s released songs with lyrics that are just as offensive as Shallipopi’s.”
The controversy has sparked a debate about the role of music critics. Some people believe that music critics should be free to criticize any song, regardless of who the artist is. Others believe that music critics should be more mindful of the impact their words can have on artists.
