The 45 ministers were administered oath of office at the State House, Abuja, on Monday. The swearing-in of the minsters marked the take off the Federal Executive Council (FEC) of the Tinubu administration.

President Tinubu had after the administration of the oath of office, told the new ministers that their assignments begin immediately. Thereafter, most of the ministers went direct to their respective ministries to resume duty.

The 45 minsters were confirmed by the Senate after screening while three of the nominees were rejected for different reasons. President Tinubu is expected to make replacement for the three rejected ministerial nominees.

The President had earlier omitted the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs in his initial list after assigning portfolios to the confirmed nominees, which generated public outcry. This was, however, rectified before the inauguration of the 45 ministers on Monday.
