NBA Conference: Sani reacts after Omokri, others knocked Kashim Shettima for his outfit
A lot of reactions have trailed the appearance of the Vice Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Kashim Shettima at the Nigeria Bar Association Conference in Lagos State. Recall that the event held on Monday, was graced by the presidential candidates of the Labour Party and Peoples Democratic Party, Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar.
As it seems, Shettima, who represented the APC flagbearer, Bola Tinubu was dressed in a black suit and red tie, accompanied by a pair of gym shoes. His appearance however, was criticised by some Nigerians, including a former presidential aide, Reno Omokri who expressed his dissatisfaction at the combination.
Reno Omokri’s reaction and that of some other Nigerians is contained in the screen shot below:
However, the former Senator for Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Shehu Sani, shared a quite different opinion on Shettima’s outfit. While lashing out at Nigerians for knocking the APC vice presidential candidate, Sani explained that wearing the best suit, does not make one a good leader. He wrote thus on his official Facebook page:
“Leave Shetima’s suit alone. It’s not our national attire. If you wanted a man with the best suit to lead you, you could have gone for Donald Duke”.
Meanwhile, speaking on a panel session held at the event, Kashim Shettima said urged Nigerians to see through the worn out rhetoric and sophistry of pretentious politicians. According to him, he and Tinubu will replicate the achievements recorded by them in their previous administration in Lagos and Borno states. He asked Nigerians to “follow who know road”.
