Newly elected House of Reps member in Taraba dies after brief illness
A newly elected member of the House of Representatives in the 2023 general election, Isma’ila Maihanchi, to represent Jalingo/Yorro/Zing Federal Constituency in the 10th National Assembly in Taraba State, has been pronounced dead in the early hours of Saturday after a brief illness.
Maihanchi was elected into the National Assembly on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He did not live to be part of the inauguration of the National Assembly in June 2023.
Earlier, a newly elected member of the National Assembly had died in Borno State in a foreign hospital penultimate week.
