Neymar’s medicals as PSG staff talk about other potentials
PSG doctors have warned that Neymar’s foot injury could be more serious than previously thought.
That’s according to French newspaper Le Parisien, who claim PSG’s medical staff believe his injury has not been properly treated and could potentially sideline him for several months.
The 27-year-old has been plagued by injury to his fifth metatarsal over the past 18 months – and Le Parisien suggest that some believe the treatment he received before the 2018 World Cup was not sufficient. Spanish publication AS claim the PSG star may have pseudarthrosis, which could require a bone graft to fully correct.
Also in other news, Philippe Coutinho’s agent has reportedly held transfer talks with Barcelona to sort out the future of his client. Giuliano Bertolucci has been in Catalonia this week to speak to the club about a potential exit, according to Goal.
The report states that he flew straight from France after discussions with Paris Saint-Germain. There is a growing feeling that Barcelona could offer Coutinho as part of a potential swap deal to land Neymar.
Bayern Munich are also interested in a potential loan with an option to buy, yet there is still no concrete suggestion as to where Coutinho will end up come September 2, which is when the deadline closes in Spain.
