Nigerian Army sues Premium Times for malicious publications against COAS
The Nigerian Army has assembled a powerful legal team as it dragged an online publication, the Premium Times to court as over its failure to retract and apologize over false, subversive and malicious publications against the person of the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai and the Nigerian Army.
Sequel to the. Legal action, National Daily gathered that authorities of the Nigerian Army sent a letter to the management of the of the online publishers to retract and apologize before 31st December 2016 but refused to do so.
It was further gathered that efforts to make the online platform see reasons and apologize was not obliged but rather the “medium remained adamant and recalcitrant”,
