Nigerian Army troops captures Boko Haram logistics suppliers
The Nigerian Army has successfully captured three Boko Haram logistics suppliers in Jimbal village, Yobe State. The suspects confessed to supplying the terrorist group for over two years and collaborating with vigilantes to evade detection.
Troops of the Nigerian Army have captured three Boko Haram terrorists’ logistics suppliers at Jimbal village of Tarmuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State.
Following preliminary investigation, the suspects confessed to having been in the illegal business for over two years and had evaded security checks by collaborating with some vigilantes in the area.
The troops also recovered items, including 3 vehicles, 5 motorcycles, a large quantity of motorcycle tyres, numerous spare parts, and a significant quantity of drugs.
The army in a statement on Monday said “The troops also seized rolls of fabrics used by terrorists to sew uniforms and the sum of Forty-eight thousand (N48,000.00) naira.”
The statement also revealed the troops’ successes in various operations in parts of the country through collaboration with other security agencies.
The troops, on August 30, 2024, arrested five suspected gunrunners and logistic suppliers at Mararaba Donga and Manya villages in Donga and Takum Local Government Areas of Taraba State.

Following the operation, the troops recovered weapons, including “3 AK-47 rifles, 2 fabricated rifles, 2 single-barrel guns, 2 Dane guns, one rifle butt, 61 rounds of 7.62 mm (special) ammunition and 8 live cartridges.
“Other items seized by the troops include 2 extra AK-47 rifle magazines, one pistol holster, one magazine holster, one pair of handcuffs, 3 daggers, one police helmet, one axe, one point of sale (POS) machine and 10 mobile phones.”
The Chief of Army Staff, COAS, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja has commended the troops for the successes recorded and emphasized the importance of sustaining the momentum of the offensives to ensure the continued safety and security of the nation.
