Nigerian drug lord killed in Philippines
Christopher Chukwuma, a suspected drug lynchpin in Philippines was shot dead early in the week during a raid on his hotel in Bagong Ilog in Pasig City.
According to Filipino police, Chukwuma, a resident of Angeles City in Pampanga, was killed because he resisted arrest after an undercover agent outed him in a sting operation.
The police allegedly discovered PHP13.6 million (US$283,000) worth of meth in care of Chukwuma, who was leading oher Nigerians in the area in drug dealing.
The Filipino government has been tough on drugs, and many have been killed in the fight.
