Nigerian man arrested in London for murder he committed in Canada
A Nigerian man identified as Usman Kassim, 41, who has been on Canada’s most wanted list for an alleged driveby shooting in Toronto has been found in London.
It is reported that the drive-by shooting happened in 2020. The police in Canada described him as a ‘violent, armed and dangerous individual who they have been on the hunt for since he fled the country more than 2 years ago
Daily Mail reports that Kassim was found in an expensive, new tower block in Battersea, South London. The apartments, which can cost up to £1 million, are kitted out with communal facilities including a swimming pool, rooftop terrace and spa.
His affluent neighbours had no idea they were living in the midst of a fugitive, Daily Mail reports. Kassim has since been arrested by British police officers and was taken to Hammersmith Police Station in West London on Tuesday where he faces an extradition process.
