Nigerian workers need stable economy, not wage increment – Hon. Makinde
Makinde representing the Ifako Ijaiye II constituency at the Lagos State house of Assembly, gave the charge while in the midst of crowd of supporters for Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s re-election for the second term in Ijaiye Ojokoro area of Lagos, citing the need for a conducive environment for businesses to thrive and a stable economy as a necessity rather than the cravings for increased wages.
According to him, the wages is not the problem of our workers, but the social benefit, when you have social welfare you can still augment with what you are earning.
He added that “The last election we have over 25,000 votes, but for Ambode the Ojokoro people will deliver 35,000 votes come 2019.

The highly spirited constituents’ cladded in orange T-Shirts and black face caps with bold inscription of ‘Ambo/Makinde 2019 also wielded posters and banners with bold pictures of the two individuals whose political progression they maintained would bring them lot more goodies.
They noted that the walk was independently facilitated by them as their own token towards making a bold statement that Governor Ambode and Hon. Makinde should be given a second chance to continue the good works they have been doing in time past and to aid the healthiness of the constituents.
A long train of supporters were seen walking from Abule-Egba Jubilee flyover bridge axis down through Charity road, Agbe road through Ahmadiyyah enroute the Abeokuta Expressway, through Ijaiye and terminated at the Ojokoro APC party secretariat.

The Planning Committee Chairman Mr. Gafar Oroki, and the Publicity Secretary of the committee Mr.Tunde Rufai, all maintained that constituents should leverage on the person of the lawmaker who carries them in his heart and has making good representation,they also lauded Governor Ambode for his good works in their area, noting that the constituency has never had so good.
