Government declares public holiday
The Federal Government has declared tomorrow, Wednesday, 1st of May 2024, as a public holiday in commemoration of this year’s Workers’ Day.
The federal government made the announcement on Tuesday in a press statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Aishetu Ndayako.
According to the statement, the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, conveyed the declaration, emphasizing the importance of excellence, efficiency, and fairness in labor.

The minister reiterated President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s commitment to fostering innovation, productivity, and inclusivity in workplaces.
