The President of the Republic, Bola Tinubu, had reconstituted the NNPC Ltd. board on Wednesday, making significant changes.
This included the removal of Chairman Chief Pius Akinyelure and Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) Mele Kyari.
Tinubu had replaced all board members appointed with Akinyelure in November 2023, and Kyari, who had been in office since 2019.
The newly restructured 11-member board features Mr. Bayo Ojulari as GCEO, while Musa Kida will serve as the Non-Executive Chairman.
