NSCDC arrests suspected drug dealer, Burglar in Kano
he Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kano State has apprehended two suspects—a drug dealer and a burglar—in separate operations aimed at curbing criminal activities in the state.
The Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested two suspects involved in drug dealing and burglary in separate incidents across the state.
This was revealed on Wednesday in a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ibrahim Idris-Abdullahi.
According to the statement, the first suspect, a 42-year-old man, was apprehended in Salanta, Gwale Local Government Area, after being found in possession of over 106 parcels of substances suspected to be cannabis sativa. The arrest followed credible intelligence reports, and the suspect was allegedly caught red-handed selling and distributing the illegal drugs within the community.
In a separate development, the corps also arrested a 22-year-old male suspect for allegedly burgling several residential homes in the Gurungawa area of Kumbotso Local Government Area.

The suspect reportedly stole valuables worth hundreds of thousands of naira and had been on the security watch-list for some time.
“The suspect was apprehended during a coordinated patrol aimed at curbing theft and other criminal activities in the area,” Idris-Abdullahi said.
He confirmed that both suspects will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
Idris-Abdullahi further urged residents to remain vigilant and to report suspicious activities to aid the ongoing efforts to rid communities of criminal elements.
