Less than 36 hours after Nasarawa state governor, Abdullahi Sule asked the United States and the United Kingdom to stop scaring Nigeria with terror alerts, the wife of Deputy Commandant, special intelligence squad Apollos Dandaura was kidnapped Wednesday evening and his younger brother shot in Lafia, the state capital.
According to a source, the commander’s wife was abducted by the bandits around the Shenge area of Lafia, the State capital.
He said the deputy commandant, Dandaura’s younger brother is currently receiving treatment at a private Hospital in Lafia and responding to treatment.

Jerry Victor, the Public Relations Officer of the Nasarawa State Command of NSCDC, when contacted, confirmed the incident, saying that the whereabouts of the abducted woman was still uncertain.
Governor Abdullahi Sule had on Monday asked the two countries to stop scaring Nigeria with terror alerts.
Both countries had, last week, issued travel advisories to their citizens over an “elevated risk of terrorist attacks in Nigeria, especially in Abuja.
But clarifying his statement on Wednesday on Channels Television’s popular program, Politics Today, the Governor said his advice was based on the tone and mode of the alert, stressing that acts of terrorism is not peculiar to any country, but that raising such magnitude of alarm does not help the citizens.
He however said he did not ignore the alert as he had to convene an expanded Security Council meeting.
